Thank you for the recent installation of the solar hot water system at our home. We really appreciated Davids’ in depth knowledge of how the different systems worked and the time that he spent with my wife and I making sure that we chose the right system to suit our energy needs and house position. Having ran out of hot water on a fairly regular basis it was Davids’ suggestion, when changing our hot water cylinder, that we install one with a much higher capacity to eliminate the problem.
DBC Solar installed the complete solar hot water system within a couple of days and we found the quality of work to be exceptional and although the system looks very complicated it runs seamlessly with our standard hot water system and is also runs extremely quietly, whereas before the old heating / hot water system was very noisy and we had been advise by another company to change and reinstall the complete central heating system and boiler.
We had received other quotations and advice from other solar installation companies but found that our choice of DBC Solar was the correct one based on Davids’ technical knowledge combined with first class service from the DBC team and all at a more competitive price.
We are looking forward to the future so that we can take advantage the reduction in our energy costs, and also have been advise by our local estate agent that this should have increased our property value by around 8%, which in these times is very nice news to hear."

Thank you for the excellent job you did installing our Solar hot water and underfloor heating systems. The panels you advised look superb and we are very pleased with the qualityThe thermal store and the plumbing is a sight to behold. To date we have not had to use the underfloor heating as the weather has been kind to us but the hot water is superb with plenty of it.
Since your installation on 17th June 09 we have not had to use the boiler at all for hot water. During three consecutive overcast days the temperature in the thermal store was at 40 degrees centigrade (approx105 degrees fahrenheight) after two baths and a shower so out of curiosity we put the boiler on to see what sort of time span was required to increase the temperature to 60 degrees. We were pleasantly surprised to find it only took 40 minutes which means we are going to make significant savings on the ammount of oil we use. Once again thank you for your attention to detail, we are completely satisfied with the work and will be reccomending your services to all of our friends.

Hi David,
Just an update on our warm water & under floor heating.
Your calculations and advice were spot on.
Athough we encountered a technical hitch due to a manufacturing error of the thermal store and the system probably took a couple of days to get up to temperature due to the fact we have over 500 metres of pipework, your willingness to visit our home between christmas and new year was much appreciated (we also realise that you would have had to travel over 300 miles round trip), all this at no extra charge as well. Your solution to aleviate the problem without major upheaval works a treat.
The whole system works effortlessly, providing adequate heating to our three extra bedrooms with little extra cost in oil consumption using solar during the daylight hours and topping up with the boiler during the hours of darkness. We are sure as the weather improves then most of our heating and hot water requirements will be provided by the solar system, making significant savings on our oil demand.
The whole system was a major undertaking for us, but your sound advice, technical knowledge and professional workmanship has proved to be a sound investment.
Thank you once again for the excellent service and we will recommend your company to all of our friends.
